July18 - Where the Legend Begins
(God of Lok)
The
tragic tale of Where the Legend
Begins caught my heart from the
begin to the end. Review
HERE. Although critics gave
it a 3/5, I think it deserved more.
The beauty of the drama lies within
the character Yun Fok (Ada Choi
Siu Fun). She, herself is the very
definition of beauty. She is intelliegent,
wise, respectful, compassionate;
in one word perfect. There was one
phrase that I love, which roughly
translates to "your appearance
is the reflection of your heart".
I wish there was really someone
even close to Yun Fok in this world...
I was never captivated by her looks;
it was all in her personality. I
find Cao Zhi Wun to be really stupid.
She was willing to marry him, raise
his child and unconditionally love
him, even though she loves Cao Zhi
Kin, and here he goes and *BIG SPOILER*
kills her. He needs to be beaten
to a bloody pulp.
I also can't help but feel sad
that all the "good" people
dies. Being good, beautiful, will
only get others to envy and hate
you, which will ultimately, kill
you. Look at Yun Fok and Huan Huan
for example. Out of compassion,
Yun Fok saved Huan Huan and what
does she do in return? She indirectly
killed her, and even after Yun Fok's
death she stuffed the mouth of the
corpse with rice and covers the
face with hair. (That means she
won't be able to say anything to
the Judge in Hell and that she has
no "face" to see anybody)
That is so disrespectful. After
all, without Yun Fok, there would
be no Huan Huan. This really shows
how ungrateful people are these
days... Help them one day, and the
next day they'll backstab you...
